Pino Pinelli. Born in Catania, Sicily, where his first artistic training took place. He moved to Milan at a very young age, and since an early phase of his career, he started experimenting alternative ways of painting that could expand beyond the frame into space. In the mid-1970s, he began a process called “Dissemination”, in which painting becomes condensed into geometric forms made from predominantly primary colours. Among the most important exponents of analytical painting, he has held over one hundred personal exhibitions in Italian and international museums and cultural institutions. He is present in important national and international museum collections; in 2015 he held a Personal Exhibition at Pearl Lam Galleries, Hong Kong and in 2016 a monographic exhibition at the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow. He lives and works in Milan.
