Loris Cecchini born in Milan. One of the most internationally renowned Italian artists, Cecchini trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and later at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. He began his artistic activity modelling soft and ductile materials: plastic, resin and cellulose. Recent work focuses on natural and physical phenomena, which become an optical and emotional inventory of the environment. He has exhibited his work worldwide, with solo exhibitions at the Palais de Tokyo, the MoMA in New York, the Shanghai Duolun Museum and Kunstverein in Heidelberg, the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art in Prato, and the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation in Milan.
