Renata Boero. Born in Genoa, she spent her childhood in Turin before moving to Switzerland. In 1959 she took part to the Quadriennale in Rome where she also exhibited in 1986 and 1999. In the seventies she began her research on the use of colours extracted from natural elements, such as plants, earth and minerals, with the series “Cromogrammi”. From 1986 she settled in Milan where she taught at Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She has held a great number of solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad: at the Civic Museum, Monza (1988), Casa del Mantegna, Mantua (1992), University of San Diego, California (2005), National University of Cordoba, (2010), Diocesan Museum in Milan (2014) . She participated to the XVI Biennal in Sao Paulo (1981), and to the Venice Biennale (1982, 1993 and 1995), and in two editions of the Architecture Biennale (2008 and 2010).
