MARIA MULAS (Manerba del Garda, 1935) lives and works in Milan, where she began her career in the sixties, following the example of her famous brother Ugo Mulas. Maria Mulas is considered among the most important Italian photographers, internationally recognized. Empathy and truth of the subject are the ‘cornerstones of her photography. She realized portraits of artists, gallery owners, critics, designers , architects, stylists, writers, publishers, journalists, directors, actors, intellectuals, entrepreneurs and friends who created a special relationship with the city of Milan. She intervenes on film through reprocessing, of photograms, transforming portraits and architectures into forms in progress. The works of Maria Mulas have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
